About Me

I studied at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Rhetoric & Writing and a minor in Journalism. I also earned my Master's Degree in Technical Communication with an Editing Concentration from Texas Tech University. Now, I'm a technical editor for the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) in Gainesville, Florida, a developmental and acquisitions editor for Inklings Publishing, and a member of the board as the Communications Director for the Houston Writer's Guild (HWG).

Since a young age, I have always loved the immersive worlds books can provide. I love Fiction, Sci-fi, and Fantasy works but am a sucker for any story with a strong plotline! So, even now, in my free time, you can find me curled up with my teacup Yorkie, Bea, reading a good book, or watching my new favorite find on Netflix.

I am passionate about editing because not only do I get to help transform these stories, but I also get to aid authors in making their dreams come true!

"Editors are useful to authors because it's almost impossible to be objective about one's work."
